MS Dhoni is known for his humorous and witty nature, and his relationship with sarcasm goes way back. While the 40-year-old has not been active on social media lately, there have been times when MSD has Twittered with his funny and witty jokes about newly appointed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ravindra Jadeja.

On Thursday, March 24, the Chennai Super Kings released the news of: dhoni stepping down as skipper of the franchise and from this season hand over the baton to star all-rounder ‘Sir Jadeja’. Jadeja is only the third captain, and only the second full-time captain, that CSK will witness. CSK was led by Suresh Raina in 2010 and 2019, but he was the replacement captain.

The duo share a great bond both on and off the pitch and Dhoni has been one of Jadeja’s biggest supporters. Jadeja also considers Dhoni to be the greatest captain of all time, and he had admitted the same in a video shared by CSK on their social media.

Meanwhile, Jadeja was detained by CSK and placed in front of Dhoni for the highest amount which is INR 16.00 CR. That decision sparked speculation about him succeeding Dhoni for the captain’s position. This is the first time in his career that Jadeja will lead a team.

It has been revealed that whenever Jadeja performs well for CSK, Dhoni’s old tweets crop up all over social media, proving that Dhoni was right all along, just as is happening in Jofra Archer’s case now.

Let’s take a look at MS Dhoni’s resurfaced tweets, for ‘Sir Ravindra Jadeja’

Dhoni isn’t really active on social media, but there was a time when he took Twitter by storm with his ‘Sir’ Ravindra Jadeja jokes. During the 2013 IPL, Dhoni was very active on Twitter as he shared his hilarious views on Jadeja as a player. His tweets kept pouring in every five to ten minutes, and it seemed like Dhoni was having his “fanboy” moment!

CSK opens their IPL campaign by playing the first match of the tournament against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 26, 2022.
