Twitter Responds As Sunrisers Hyderabad Royal Challengers Decimate Bangalore To Win 5th Consecutive IPL 2022 Match

The 36th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) was played between Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, on Saturday, April 23.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling unit destroyed the Royal Challengers Bangalore batting unit and the Kane Williamson and co. were able to win the game by 9 wickets to win their 5th consecutive match of the 2022 Indian Premier League.

Previously, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and chose to field first and made no changes to the XI in play. Likewise, Royal Challengers Bangalore also played the same playing XI from the previous match.

The lead batter of Royal Challengers Bangalore had a terrible start, as in the second over, which was bowled by young left-armer Marco Jansen, they lost the top-3 batters – Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat. Du Plessis scored 5 runs off 7 balls, while Virat Kohli played for a golden duck and Anuj Rawat for a 2-ball duck.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowlers didn’t stop there as T Natarajan overtaken Glenn Maxwell (12) in the 5th over, Jagadeesha Suchith produced a two-wicket over by Suyash Prabhudessai (15) and Dinesh Karthik (0) in the 9th over and Umran to Malik sacked Shahbaz Ahmed (7) in the 10th over. Soon the remaining three players were fired by the SRH bowling attack and Royal Challengers Bangalore was bundled for 68.

On 23/4/2013 RCB scored 263 runs on the loss of 5 wickets, on 23/4/2017 RCB was bundled for 49 and now on 23/4/2022 RCB was knocked out for 68. This was also RCB’s second-lowest total in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Meanwhile, T Natarajan and Marco Jansen got 3 wickets each, Jagadeesha Suchith took 2 wickets while Umran Malik and Bhuvneshwar Kumar got one wicket each.

Chasing for goal, young opener Abhishek Sharma went wild against RCB’s bowling unit and skipper Kane Williamson played his natural slow game. Abhishek was sacked by Harshal Patel for 47, but Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match comfortably.
