It is worth noting that the official IPL LIVE station amassed 3200 Cr in ad revenue from IPL 2021. With higher rates, number of matches and 2 more teams, STAR SPORTS is on track to exceed 4,200-4,400 Crore ad revenue this year .

“We are fully on track to hit our sales at IPL 15. It will be our best year and we are confident advertisers will get the best experience possible as always,” inquired one of the core members of the Disney Star Network Sales team.

Star Sports IPL earnings – For the 15th edition of the competition, Disney Star has signed 15 sponsors. The broadcaster has signed deals with Cred, Dream11, Byju’s, TATA, Asian Paints, Spotify, Meesho, Swiggy Instamart, Kamla Pasand & Pepsi and several other brands.

  • Co-presenting partners: 160 Crores
  • Associated sponsors: 90 Crores

It’s worth noting that Star Sports has increased its sponsorship package percentage and inventory percentage by nearly 20% from IPL 2021.

The same packages were sealed in IPL 2021 with a range of 130-140 Cr and 60-65 Cr respectively.

“IPL 2022 is very special. It will have 10 teams, will be played in India, will have a new format and most importantly a new composition of the teams. All this together has created a huge amount of buzz in the market and Star is rightfully cashing in on this buzz.” said one of the purchasing leaders of a leading media buying firm.

Star Sports IPL earnings – IPL LIVE streaming Hotstar: Not only the broadcast sales are phenomenal, IPL LIVE streaming on Disney+ Hotstar has also been sold as HOT-CAKES.

Hotstar has 13 sponsors on board, including Dream11 as the co-presenting sponsor, Tata and CRED as the ‘powered by’ sponsors.

Swiggy, Pristyn Care, Zepto, Ather Energy, Niyo, Parle Agro, Spotify, Livspace, L’Oreal and Spinny as associate sponsors.

“There has been increased interest from advertisers across all categories for the upcoming season of Tata IPL due to the addition of new teams, so an opportunity for them to reach a new set of audiences,” Nitin Bawankule, head of advertising sales, Disney Star, said in a statement recently. “All major features, including Super 4s, Super 6s, Fall of Wickets and Milestones, are sold out on our platform.”

Last year on DIGITAL, Hotstar generated Rs 400-500 crore turnover. In IPL 2022, SALES figures should easily exceed 650 Cr according to industry estimates.

This means that the DISNEY STAR network (broadcasting and LIVE streaming) together can bring in 5,000 Crore plus ADVERTISING revenue on IPL 2022.

IPL 2022 LIVE broadcast starts with CSK vs KKR match on March 26. The live broadcast will be available on Disney Star Sports and IPL LIVE Streaming will be available on Disney Hotstar.
