Newcomers Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) surprise everyone with their consistent performance in IPL 2022. LSG is currently third in the points list with four wins in six games. Their skipper KL Rahul scored an excellent century against the Mumbai Indians in the previous encounter and he will try to lead from the front against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their next group match.

LSG has so far beaten defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Delhi Capitals (DC) and MI. However, they have suffered defeats at the hands of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT). LSG, after winning their match against MI, will want to continue their good form against RCB as well.

Having won convincingly in their last game, LSG will likely remain on the same side as against the five-time champions. Batter Manish Pandey, who was included in the side and played a vital innings of 38 runs in the last game, will also be looking to contribute with the bat in the coming game.

Here’s a look at the Lucknow Super Giants predicted XI against RCB:

skipper KL Rahul was impressive in the last game, as he scored an outstanding century and propelled his team to a below par overall. Rahul also scored an impressive 68 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The skipper will try to continue his good form also against the strong looking RCB.

Wicket-keeper-batter Quinton de Kock also played a short but crucial 24 knockout against the five-time champion. His best 80-of-52-ball knockout came against Delhi Capitals (DC), which helped the team easily chase the 149 total. However, De Kock will want to perform consistently for the Super Giants, knowing that he is one of the oldest batters in the playing XI.

Middle Order: Manish Pandey, Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni

Batter Manish Pandey, who came in from the wing in place of Krishnappa Gowtham, showed some character, scoring a vital 38 from just 29 balls. The righthanded batter stroked six fours in his innings and will also want to contribute with the bat in the coming game.

both batters, Marcus Stoinis and younger Ayush Badoni, have also played some pivotal roles in their franchise endeavors. Stoinis played a crushing knockout of 38 runs in just 17 balls against RR, but was unable to secure his side win. Badoni, on the other hand, didn’t get going in the previous two games. He will try to perform well in the upcoming match to make a significant contribution to the team’s victory in their next match against the Red Army.

Allrounders: Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder

One of the strengths of the LSG team is the presence of experienced all-rounders. The will of Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya and Jason Holder did their part to help the team achieve victories. Hooda played an excellent 51-run knockout against the Orange Army and made some vital contributions to the team tally with the bat.

Both Krunal and Holder have not put their best foot forward with the bat so far. However, both all-rounders have bowled some clean lines and lengths during the early and mid-stage of the match. The duo will try to put pressure on the ball against the strong looking RCB batting setup.

Bowlers: Dushmantha Chameera, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan

Pacer Dushmantha Chameera was quite expensive in his previous outing against MI, conceding 48 runs in his quota of four left. However, the fast pacer scalped Kieron Pollard’s crucial wicket (25 from 14 balls) and contributed to the team’s victory. The 30-year-old is backed by LSG management and will look to prove their decision after he does well against RCB.

On the other hand, Ravi Bishnoi has dropped five wickets in six matches. While the spinner hasn’t been able to take enough wickets, he has harassed the batters with his variations. His best grades of 2/22 came against DC. Likewise, pacer Avesh Khan , which was bought by the franchise for INR 10 crore, performs well, justifying its price tag. Both Avesh and Bishnoi’s bowling skills will be tested in their next match against RCB.

LSG’s Predicted Playing XI Against RCB: KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Manish Pandey, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan
