Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans (GT) will continue a great start to their first Indian Premier League (IPL) season as they face SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 21 of the ongoing IPL 2022 at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Monday. GT has won all of their three games in IPL 2022 and will be looking to take another win. It has been an all round show from GT thus far, with the likes of Shubman Gill and Rahul Tewatia making headlines for all the right reasons. It will therefore be interesting if Hardik decides to make a non-injury related change to the playing XI that defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their previous match.
Here’s a look at Gujarat Titans’ predicted XI for the game vs SunRisers Hyderabad:
Shubman Gill: Gill has been one of the most consistent performers in IPL 2022 to date. He continued his purple spot in GT’s previous match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), where he delivered a brilliant 96-run knockout from just 59 balls.
Matthew Wade: Gill could once again be Australia’s Wade, who has endured a rough time so far in IPL 2022. Despite his brilliant goalkeeping skills, Wade will be under pressure to perform with the bat as he looks to earn a place in an in-form GT team.
Sai Sudharsan: Sai impressed everyone with a calm head on his shoulder in their previous match against PBKS. Scored 35 runs off 30 balls, including four fours and one six, he worked well with Gill as he turned the attack well and kept tapping the scoreboard.
David Miller: Despite having 92 IPL matches to his name, Miller has yet to perform to his full potential. But as GT has had a great run so far, Miller hasn’t had many opportunities to contribute and showcase his skills with the bat. However, his immense T20 experience and field skills make him a crucial member of the squad.
Hardik Pandya: Hardik has been perfect in his leadership skills. He has led debutant GT to three consecutive victories and has not lost a single race. He also had good contact with the bat, scoring 91 runs at an average of 30.33. He also seems to be returning with the ball at his best, claiming two wickets so far.
Rahul Tewatia: Tewatia has so far been the man of the hour in IPL 2022. In the final game against PBKS, he shocked everyone as he hit two sixes from the last two balls to help GT cross the line and secure an unlikely win.
Rashid Khan: Rashid Khan has had a good start to IPL 2022 by his standards, claiming five wickets in three matches so far and bowling frugally, with just 6.58 runs per over.
Mohammed Shami: Shami was at his best with six wickets in the three matches played. However, leaky runs at death can be a major concern and the pacer is eager to fix the problem.
Lockie Ferguson: The New Zealand pacer was quick this IPL and has harassed even the best hitters with clean lines and lengths. He has taken five wickets in three matches with an impressive average of 17 and an economy of 7.08 runs per over.
Abhinav Manohar: Abhinav was not tested at all in GT’s last game against PBKS and the team will be looking for helpful contributions from him in their game against SRH.
Darshan Nalkande: The young fast bowler went for 37 runs in 3 overs vs PBKS, but he also claimed two crucial wickets and could play an important role for GT in their game against SRH.
